ENGINE ART

This is an a example of a 29 ton shay which was built for standard gauge and subsequently converted to 3 ft gauge for preservation at the BC Forest Museum. It worked in the Cowichan Valley but was too small and was sold to the Osborn Bay Wharf Co. It was subsequently retired and converted from a coal burner to oil and still exists in Duncan B C , awaiting  a new boiler.
